Project:
Was hired as a freelancer to design a logo for a housing lawyer located in North Carolina. I went through the process of sketching, creating high-fidelity mock-ups, and providing a variety of color choices.
Sketching and Drafts:
The client wanted a sleek and memorable logo. Some logos highlighted that the lawyer was located near well-known Lake Norman, but the main goal was to highlight that the client was a housing lawyer who could offer great protection. A roof is what protects someone's house from being destroyed, so I thought all the logos should feature some sort of roof. The client choose three logos they liked best, then I offered different orientations of the logos and different typefaces to choose from.
Chosen Logo:
The client selected the logo on the left. The following orientations were provided to be used based on need. The logo was created with the idea of taking the first letter of Casa and making it into a house. The open C house logo is sleek, simple, and a great symbol for protection.
Final Logo:
The final logo was colored a nice navy blue. The color blue is big in North Carolina but the Carolina blue seemed too bright. The navy blue pays homage to the Carolina blue while offering a more professional feel. I provided the AI file and SVG to the client who was very happy with their logo.
