Task:
Create a print catalog for the 2022 Ducks Unlimited Preferred Vendor Program. Include an order sheet that can be filled out and submitted.
Challenges:
1. Project was assigned last minute, creating a tight deadline.
2. Designing the catalog to include a product sheet so that vendors could place their orders
3. Designing an effective back cover that highlights our new box blinds

Solution 1:
When a salesman comes to you last minute with a design request the simple answer for how do you get the work done is to work longer hours than usual. This is true but something else I made sure to do was stay organized and create a simple layout that could be easily adjusted. The salesmen I was working with would add products, take some away, and offer little edits throughout the process so I designed a catalog that could be easily adjusted without creating tremendous design issues.
Solution 2:
When placing the order sheet it was originally discussed to include it as the last page of the catalog so that the vendor could rip it out and enter their order. I made the decision to place it as the second to last page in the catalog so that once it was ripped out the catalog would still be contained between the front and back cover
Solution 3:
Created a back cover highlighting our 2021 box blinds. Used the Hawk yellow to help create effective contrast between the black background and the product/lifestyle images. Created a hierarchy of box blinds from smallest (top) to largest (bottom)
Outcome:
The Catalog was published and distributed amongst GSM employees and Vendors. Company improved sales from years previous.
