Project:
The Bermuda heart foundation is a non-profit organization that helps the people of Bermuda better understand the importance of heart health and exercise. Their mission is to reduce heart-related illnesses in Bermuda by advocating, supporting, and promoting cardiovascular health through awareness initiatives. A group of classmates from our Master's program including myself traveled down to Bermuda to assist them in improving their digital presence. Below you will see all of the deliverables we created for the foundation
New Logo:
The old logo (top) was the first thing we adjusted for the foundation. We wanted to keep the same idea but make it more display-friendly. The width of the old logo made it extremely difficult to implement on the website or any other deliverables. We also felt that the pink didn't provide enough contrast for the red so we used black as the secondary color to really make the red pop.
New Website:
The Bermuda Heart Foundation is broken up into three different sections. The main foundation, Jump2bfit, and Core. The main foundation handles all donations and awareness initiatives. Jump2bfit is a program that gets local youth involved in jump roping to help their cardiovascular health. Core is the main office where the foundation helps to improve the health of patients that have poor heart health. We created a site map to help break up these three different parts of the foundation and any other information we felt to be important. We populated the site with informative videos, insightful icons, and strong copy to help users better understand the different parts of the foundation and what exactly the Foundation does throughout Bermuda.
Interviews and Media:
We conducted several interviews while in Bermuda. Each interview had strategically chosen backdrops and proper three-point lighting. The majority of my footage used a DLSR camera and we gathered some footage using a  DJI mini drone. We created 8 videos that highlighted the different parts of the foundation and told some of the amazing stories within the foundation. The videos were uploaded to YouTube and incorporated on the new website. We created b-roll reels to be used in the headers of the website. The interviews can be found on the Bermuda Heart Foundations YouTube channel
Final Project:
We were able to complete this project in just one month. We spent one week in Bermuda working with our client and two weeks completing all of our deliverables. Once the project was complete our group presented all of our hard work to fellow classmates and Elon faculty. This project was extremely rewarding for me and the entire team. We were able to use our skills as multimedia professionals to promote the education of heart health throughout Bermuda. To see all of our work please visit https://www.bermudaheartfoundation.com/
